I try to use the realflow plug to render Houdini particles in Lightwave.
When I play my bin. sequence in Lightwave I am unable to use age of the particles as attribute to shade it.
I wonder if the plug actually can export particle age or life in a bin sequence. If not, it should really great to add it : I think the plug made by the nextlimit team could be a nice gateway between the different 3d softwares.
I am not a Maya or max user so I can't tell about this app but when I import bin sequence from Realflow to Lightwave, I can use the age attribute to shade
Thank for your help
problem with the particle export ???
problem with the particle export ???
Houdini has it's own attributes on particles. RF Houdini exporter/importer uses attributes only needed by realflow.

problem with the particle export ???
When I export particles from Lightwave to Realflow, Age info is inside the .bin sequence.
but lightwave use is own attribute too ...
I wonder why age info are not inside .bin file export from Houdini.
For me it's a bug or a limitation but I am not a expert, that why I post here.

Re: problem with the particle export ???
You need to make an attribute called "age" and set the value to $LIFE.
