problem with random V max value

Postby henrik » Fri Oct 24, 2008 11:05 am

Hello, this is my first post at this forum. :)
I haw a problem with a Jumpy-random speed of my gas particle when i simulate gas in water.
For the first 25 frames the "V max" value is between 2 and 3 but in the time of 4 frames it runs up to 32 in "v max" and then falls back to 2-3 again. Do any one now how to make the particles haw a smooth value between 2-3?

Are really grateful for help :)

/ Henrik

Gas particles in fluid particles, is this for bubbles? If the goal is bubbles, there are many ways to "cheat" or fake the bubbles like subtractive meshing, separate render passes, using the original particles to make bubbles in a 3D package, etc.

If the goal is something else maybe fluid particles in fluid particles with lower density would work better and give similar results. Cheers!

Ahh, sweet! Then I will try fluid particles. :)
The thing is that i want the top surface in a glass to sputter.
Its a pretty advanced simulation for one of my after work projects :P
