Fluid on sphere, Neatvideo against mesh flickering

Post by ChristianZ » Sat Sep 28, 2019 9:58 am

Hi

so, recently I made a simple sim in the style of "fluid versus sphere" in RFC4D using Dyverso, and the result is shown here:

For this I was following a tutorial by Tsn (with changes) that he recently published in the well-known German magazin for digital media "Digital Production" 05/2019. And by the way, thank you very much Tsn for mentioning me and the independent RealFlow forum there as a helpful resource! :P
although you called this forum "lingering between life and death", like a zombie

After finishing rendering this animation using Redshift, I noticed a lot of flickering of the mesh and used the denoiser "Neatvideo" as a plugin for After Effects (see the Youtube link above for the comparison before/after). This plugin also looks after temporal noise and I think it helped in this example, although I did not spend a lot of time for optimizing the parameters.
