Product with water splash

Postby luucasnanni » Thu Jan 17, 2019 6:17 am

Hello everyone! I'm trying to achieve something like the following examples for a project of mine. Thomas helped with his material but I'm looking for something quite specific. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get something close to this? It's some sort of flat splash, not rounded. It would be ideal to work with dSpline. I'm kinda lost because I've tried everything I could.

Thank you in advance.

Hi

unfortunately, these type of splashes with those flat and sometimes rippled extensions and small droplets are very difficult to achieve with a physics simulation. I believe that many of those shown in still images actually are sculpted in Zbrush or similar. Sometimes you also see material coming from high speed/flash photography.
So, the simulation is necessary if you need a full animation with direction or morph effects, but for stills sculpting may be more efficient.

Hi, ChristianZ! Thank you so much for your reply. Knowing it's not possible is already enough for me, haha. I was driving myself INSANE trying to achieve this. I'll search for some splashes around the web.
