I don't know... if you simply add a texture to the mesh that is flowing onto the ground, then the image will stay distorted as the fluid is mixed and distorted on the floor. If you use a projection like front projection, the image will always stay perfectly visible but not flowing....You could make a reverse animation where the picture is perfect on an emitter on the floor and then gets sucked up?
have you tried something and how does it look?
