Object Emitter won't work using an imported mesh

Postby lnbeon » Fri Sep 21, 2018 7:45 am

Hello Everyone.

I have animated a sphere in Cinema 4d to later use it in realflow to emitt particles. I have exported it using the connect plug in and the import of the SD file to Realflow works fine. However when I use the object emitter, and simulate, it won't simulate a single particle. It works with Realflow primitives, but not with my imported mesh. Can anyone tell me what's the problem? I know it might be a really dumb issue, but I don't seem to get it working.

Hi,

The first thing that comes to mind is make sure your geometry is triangulated, meaning, it should only have 3 point polygons. That's the only type of polygons Real Flow can use. 4 point and higher polygons will be ignored.

Hope this helps.

Good luck,

Also, play around with the resolution settings of the fluid. Maybe try to inverse the normals of the object.
RF10 standard + RFC4D
