How to render the spray

Postby Evan.Qiu » Sat Feb 04, 2017 1:21 pm

Hello:
I wanna render the water something like the following picture, I mean the color turns white when it sprays (highlighted by the red cycle), and turns blue when it become calm (highlighted by green cycle)
I know that sometimes we're able to do it by using the Hybrido & Krakatoa, or maybe AE, but what I'm trying to do is just achieve it by using a single mesh, so, is it possible to render the water based on the velocity (or many be other attributes) of the mesh ? I'm now using C4D and VR for MAX

Have a look at the option of "channel rendering"

I'm able to achieve it by using C4D default renderer, but I've no idea when using Vray in C4D and MAX,
Someone told me that we can combine the .abc sequence and load it into MAX by Vray proxy, I'll have a try, but I believe that the .abc format will not be the only method, who can help me :)
