A little update here: I am still preparing a hybrido sim for foam rendering, but it takes more time because I have to adapt parameters (as usual), and I am also dealing with crashing sims, which is annoying. I am speaking about sims that seem to run just fine, but when you check them again after a few hours or in the morning, the program (RF standalone) has closed and stopped at some point without obvious reason. In this case, you can tweak substeps, check RAM or disk consumption, but yes, it takes more time...

Ok, it seems I have overcome this "little" roadblock of random crashes in the middle of foam sim. Now, I have set the "particle transport" steps in the hybrido simulation options to 1 (instead of increasing it), and the "threads" option in the general simulation options is also set to 1. Seems to work now, even with several millions of foam particles.
