Sounds like a good idea. I should have enough time to complete this. Im using the demo, plus theres the 3DWorld edition. Rendering will be in C4D.

Ok, if I can find the time, ive got an idea that involves a live plate, some matchmoving, and a whole lot of water! I just hope I can get a plate thats large enough to meet the 768 x 576 requirements.

Ive got a plate that 640x352, but im assuming that is too small. I'll see what I can do.

Sounds very good.
Never mind the footage size , you can always put black behind the frame or i will.

Heres a screenshot of the footage ill be using. The idea is a large wave that will be sweeping across the field (from right to left) splashing across the road, hitting the bus, splashing in the ditch, and knocking down some objects in the process.

Looks interesting. Which matchmoving app are you using?

Ive got access to boujou, so ill be using that. However, this is the first time ive used realflow with a matchmoved plate.

On the matchmoving front I'll be especially interested to see how you get on. I keep meaning to devote some time to Syntheyes but never seem to get round to it. Its just gathering dust on my HD right now.

Here is an editor preview of the track. The animation will only be around 21 seconds in length. I hope this will be ok.

The jittering is not a tracking problem. Its because this preview was made in editor mode, and there is no anti-aliasing.

Here is the link to the preview. To keep down on the file size, I used the Xvid codec.

I dont know of any secret spots, but the footage im using, I downloaded it months ago. Its from a show.

As of now, im not sure if im going to be able to finish this in time. Ive been simulating for 20 hours now, and I still have 480 frames to go. Its only simulated the first 60 frames so far. I may need to rethink my idea.
