Hi I'm having some trouble with cloth.
I simply enabled the soft body dynamics and enabled self collision but when i drop some water on it it simply passes through the cloth ?
The cloth does show interaction with the particles and the particles also show interaction with the cloth but still pass trough
What am I doing wrong ?
Thanks in advance
Daan

Check the collision distance for the particle interaction on the object. Also check the sub step value for the simulation. I threw a plane in with about 1000 faces and an emitter, they interact with the default settings. Cheers!

Thanks I will try it first thing in the morning
How many sub steps do you suggest I always leave it at the default which is 333 right ?
Thanks for the fast reply

The default of 333 sub steps is usually plenty if not more than enough, as long as the collision distance is large enough on the object. I usually don't like to go below .01 because stability problems and stray particles become a problem. Cheers!

I set the collision distance to 0.01 and the problem was completely solved :)
Thanks

What is the amount of substebs you use most cause i have it on 80 right now

It depends on how complex the scene is, how fast the particle are moving, etc. I usually start with something pretty high and then move down until I hit stability problems or particles going through objects. Then go back up about 10% and that should do pretty good. Cheers!
