RB specific collision distance

Is it possible to specify a collision distance for RB with RB?

I mean the following example

2 spheres of 1m radius will collide with each other at, let's say, 2,5m, instead of 1m

very much appreciated answer for those who have no clue about scripting

Just make the spheres 2.5 meters instead of 1 meter. There isn't a rigid body specific collision distance that I know of. Cheers!

that would do it. then i can always scale down the objects in whatever 3d package to "fake" the effect
