C++ runtime library

Postby KFX » Sat Oct 31, 2009 5:08 pm

Hey guys:

your help is needed before I kill myself ... lol ... I don't have that heavy of a scene ... its just some shattered pieces and bike proxy for collision and a few thousand particles .... the bike suppose to hit the shattered object which is full of fluid and the object suppose to explode so is the water inside....!

every time I hit sim button before the bike hit the shards I get this error :

Microsoft visual C++ Runtime Library

" Runtime Error!

Program:

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."

am using realflow 4, 32 bit on windows XP 64bit .... with 12 gbs of memory ..... I don't think hardware is the reason since I think I have enough of it for this kind of sim

Please.. Please .... give me some solutions around this ... I really don't wanna give up on realflow... :mad2:

:Peace
KH

Can you give us the exact RF version number please, ie 4.3.8.0124 (which is the latest 64bit release).

Try installing the latest version, as mentioned in my post. Let us know if that solves anything.

Can you post up your scene please? Take out any RF generated sd files (but include the one you're using if you are) and strip out the bin files from the particle folder. I, and others, can run this through on 64bit XP systems. We'll see if we can narrow this down.

Can you provide more info on your scene if you can't post it for any reason, such as:-

max and min substeps
Particle counts when crashing
FPS settings
Emitter settings
... and so forth.

It's asking for an sd file called Blood Test001.sd

There is a file called that included in the archive, but it's just a simple text file.

Let us know when you have the rest of the files uploaded and we can take a look.
