Help with Rigid Body dislodge effect

Post by reelfour » Tue Jul 07, 2009 6:51 am

Hi all.

I've got a scene set up where I basically have some 3D text and I want primitive objects to fall down and dislodge individual letters as they hit, causing them to tumble and fall out of frame as each primitive hits.

Any hints on how I could set this up? I'm new to rigid body setups in realflow. So far I've got some interaction with the letters, but not the effect I'm after. The text has to be completely still or "hovering" until the primitives hit.

Try using constraints and set their breaking force according to the other objects in the scene. Or maybe use key frames to enable dynamic motion on the large letters when needed. Cheers!
