Mass in RB sim.

Postby Dämmerung » Mon Jun 01, 2009 12:11 pm

Hi i have a glass that's breaking and i was wondering if there's a script or something to apply diferent mass to each piece based on their size 'cause i have to many pieces to manually assing a value to each one.

any hlp would be greatly appreciated

No script exists, although you can write one yourself though. It's probably not too complicated to do, would involve getting the objects (pieces) and then randomizing the mass with a min and max value.

Randomizer will assign random mass values to all selected nodes. This doesn't calculate on the "size" of the individual piece, but I'm sure a cunning python scripter could add in the conditions that would take you in that direction.

A batch script could do this pretty quickly. Do you have any experience with Python or other scripting? Cheers!

thnx for all the answers, unfortunatley im not familiar with python so for me to write a script would be an even more complicated task than to assing the values manualy
