Higher/ more intense Splashes

Postby fkfx » Wed May 09, 2012 6:24 pm

Hi,

in my (Hybrido- ) scene, everything's working fine, Splashes are beautiful and working as expected, but I need them to be higher and shoot out of the water with more velocitty.

There are some things creating impact upon the water surface and the splashes they are creating are just too small. And no, I don't want to use Realwave because I don't like the results RW_Object splash generates.

I increased Emission Rate to 100, Resolution to 1000, min max is at 80/ 1000...

Lowering Gravity is not an option because this will also make the splashes fall too slowly. Any ideas left?

After some testing and inspiration by Luis Miguel, here's an answer:

- Curvature threshold not only controls the point of emission but also influences the heigth of the Splashes. Values like 0.2 or 0.3 are helping, less values are likely to result in more particles.

- Decreasing Angle Variation from default 45 to something like 15 helps, becazuse it makes the splahing angle narrower.

- Position variation 0.15 to 0.3 can also help (haven't tested that, yet).
