Better Grid Fluid Splashes

Postby matt_Johnson » Mon Mar 19, 2012 5:40 pm

Hi everyone -

Hoping to get some help and or ideas of how I might go about getting a more refined type of splash when using the Hybrido - Grid Fluid Splash Emitter.

I've read through the docs and without avail still don't seem to be able to get what I'm after. Check this link for reference --> http://luismma.wordpress.com/2011/09/29/scene-the-killer-whale-scene/

In this example Luis is getting this splashy / particular spray type of look which is more or less of what I'm after. The attached image shows where I'm at so far.

Grid Info:
Grid Fluid = 20 x 15 x 20 with 2.2 million particles.

Any ideas or direction on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

So no takers eh? 78 views and nothing - weird. I'll just keep at it.

Better Grid Fluid Splashes

Hı,

for creating splashes I found Realflow to be working better if setting Use detail Threshold to No. Besides, your underlying grid fluid resolution is very low, so this will result in less detailed splashes.
