Water from hose

Postby prakash_avc » Tue Apr 05, 2011 5:43 am

Hi guys ,

Below is the scene scenario:

Water is sprayed from hose towards the character and the character is thrown away due to force of the water.

Its a cartoon style simulation.

Below is the reference for the look of the water

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=16_f2ecAe_A&feature=related

I did a small test with nparticles as the meshing part is tedious and result is not comparitive to realflow...i am starting the effects in realflow.

Below is the nparticle test video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJ1Bn4O6qG0

Need suggestion to proceed with the shot.

started with a circle emitter ...

Below are the settings

emitter settings:

speed 100
int pressure .001
ext pressure 1
viscosity 3

Object settings :

bounce 0
stickiness 10

gravity 25

kvolume to kill the unwanted particles.

As i need to match the water force according to character animation...i increased the speed to 100.

But now the particles are flying off after the collision with the character.

More resolution will help. Much more.

Below is the wip video..

need comments...

Current Scene Settings :

Right now resolution is 25 ( default scale vales)
Used drag and surface tension daemon to avoid particle expanding.
Animated the emitter speed.
Kage.
gravity.
int and ext pressure .001
viscosity 5
