Erratic behavior between simulations of the same scene.

Postby leo3duy » Tue Feb 01, 2011 11:51 pm

Maybe it's a silly question but ... is possible that the behavior of particles can change between simulations of the same scene with the same parameters?

It's like RealFlow adds random behavior to the particles, even if the scene is the same. This I have experienced mainly using the demon sheeter.

This could be posible?
Thank you very much, Leo.

In rf you will never run the same simulation twice and get the same results, there will always be slight differences just like in nature there is always an element of chaos.

One factor that would limit the difference would be the substeps, if you run your sim using high fixed substeps then you should start to get more similar results but longer sim times.

Thanks for your reply bitSeq, next time I'll save particles directory of a good looking simulation before re simulate and lose it, like I did.. :-(
