RF and Fume Integration - possible?

Postby mafx » Sat Nov 29, 2008 1:03 pm

Hey,

Has anyone seen any tuts on intergrating a Fume and RF sim, is it at all possible?

Just not sure how the two would interact and tried to have a rf mesh smother some text that was emitting a fume sim but nothing really happened with the integration.

Anyone have any tips with this one?

Thanks

depends, u could export your particles out via pflow now with the new RF plugins.. with ur fume velocities.. and i mesh it in RF, i know u could put out Fume object sourece via RF wetmaps... thats about as far as i have taken it.

Krakatoa.. hmm nice idea but $$ constraints steer me back to Fume.

I will have a look at wetmaps (which I can't seem to get to work) and I was thinking about maybe doing an animated gradient also.. trick it into not having fire where the mesh is.

Thanks.

Did you get your wet maps sorted out? It can be a plugin problem in earlier versions of 3DS Max.

The PFlow integration is interesting, feels a bit bloated but is it nice to have the options PFlow opens up.
