Killing particles

Postby perham3d » Tue Sep 26, 2006 10:24 am

I know in rf4 there is a thing where you place it in the scene and if a particle leaves this area it dies. i cant remember what it is called but it was useful for memory management cus my puter didnt have to calculate what one particle miles away from the action is doing just because it fell off the side of the plane!

is this possible in rf3 cus i cant seem to find it.

Yes, I use this all the time in RF3.
Go to the daemons and there you find those with the "~" sign such as ~sphere or ~volume. If the particles are outside, they are killed.
