Postby bluehonda » Fri Aug 19, 2011 5:29 am

Hi! All.

has anyone done a bursting soap bubble using RF? you know, something like those slow motion vids of soap bubbles bursting on youtube. something like that.
you think we can do that with RF?
let me know if you think of any techniques.

thanks always. Love this forums.

Hi

I know you have put this in the RF 4 section.

-But for general info. In RF 5 we have created a plugin for this exact purpose. It was created for a specific TVC shot on which a European studio was working.
Here you can see some of the shots: Click me

The plugin is not commercial available yet, but plans are to release it.
The main features of the tool is to initiate the burst pattern and transfer particles from one emitter to another in an interesting pattern.

All of the above can surely also be realized with a Python script and therefor be put to use in RF4, but it will require some scripting.

It is possible to do it without scripting, I have done it before, I will post a video to prove it but I am keeping the method a secret :ninja:

Cool :)

It just proves that RF is quite powerful also without scripting and cutomizing.
Really nice video.
