sand/sugar simulation

Scripting is the only way to do this in realflow, unfortunately I cant help you there.

Maybe one way would be to freeze the particles when they collide with the surface.

The particles would then rather display the behavior of heavy snow, not sand, but also in the posted youtube video
there is not much rolling motion of the single particles.

In fact, these videos are created by me. What do you think about the effect?

@christianz: the effect you are talking is present but not for a very long time, i wanted the pile to be high.

I think it is good in a setup like now, the sugar forming a solid pile, at some distance to the camera. If the camera moves closer, it would look more realistic if the grains rolled a little more on the surface and the tip of the pile may collapse under its own weight.
