Realflow-Challenge "Flooding"

Postby Herbert » Mon Oct 09, 2006 9:02 pm

Hello!

The voting is over - and we have a winner.
Here's the file so there is the same starting point for everybody. Its up to you what you are making out of this. You can modell additional stuff,... and so on.

Here is the Winrar-File for the scene.

Here's the Winzip-File.

This file contains several file types. Please let me know if anybody of you has problems to find a appropriate file.

Here's a quick rendering of the scene.

Cheers,

Herbert

No. It is sort of inspired by a scene in poseidon where the water brakes into the ship.
See the topic discussion here http://www.realflowforum.com/view_poll.php?id=130
Use the scene provided and whatever tools you find helpful.
Participants are encouraged to run wip threads.
Finished by the end of december.

You are free to retexture and remodell.
The only rule is: make it look really good. Good luck.

A couple questions/comments:

I think you get more participation by providing either a zip or uncompressed file format, that scene file can't be all that big - I will sub-host if it is a problem.

Did somebody projection map the surfaces so a wetmap will work as is? Just curious how much setup I'm looking at, etc.

And finally, you might want to use the term challenge instead of contest because a contest implies that there is a prize at stake.

Hi Ls3D!

Your right - didn't think about Winzip.

Here's the Winzip-File.
