Meshing a grid + splash particles = Maxwell Error

Postby BrianLooney » Sun May 23, 2010 2:28 pm

Hello, I have found a strange occurrence when trying to render a specific type of mesh in Maxwell through the Max 2011 plug in. Here is the work flow I am using and the outcome:

In RF5, I have a grid domain and a grid splash. I mesh these two particle systems as one (add a grid mesh and insert the grid emitter and grid splash emitter). I then import the mesh .bin file into Max through the mesh loader. Now, when rendering this mesh with the Max plug in, here is the error I get:

The MXS file is not exported.

If the 2 particle systems are meshed separately, it renders fine. It's only when they are combined, that it fails.

So, I don't know if this is a Maxwell, Realflow, or Max problem, but somewhere in there the process is failing.
