pocket in shallow river

Postby saka » Thu Oct 23, 2014 4:15 am

hi,
It is going to create the shallow river.
The simulation is HYBRIDO GFD, a pocket will be made in the backside of a flow to a collision object.
Is there any paremeter for avoiding this problem?
It is made to pass flowing on a boundary of GFD using kVolume downstream from a river.

SceneScale=0.01(3ds max)
GFDEmitter:InitioalSpeed=5.0, Stream=Yes

GridFluidInteraction:InteractionFactor=1.0(=>lower value, 0.01 can not be solve this problem)

thanks

Your Grid Resolution is to coarse and that's causing the troubles.

thanks,fxfx

your idea makes the simulation more better result.

This sample image is very low simulation,
but in high resolution, realflow trends to make these result, shallow liquid.
I hope other paremeters makse better simulation quarity.

I try PhoenixFD2 in 3ds max.
this plugin very nice, very fast simulation and high quaiyty in short simulation time, very easy to use.

only 20 minutes for simulation (PhoenixFD;400f)
thin surface water!

If it is too shallow for you, just emit ore liquid and make the emitter bigger
