Filter daemon fallof

Post by Rivental » Thu Jul 30, 2020 8:24 pm

Hello! I want filter daemon to work only in some area. But i dont see any fallof section in this daemon. Only what i see it is bounded option but it is only box fallof while i need sphere. Maybe someone can help me...

Hi

currently I am away from the machine with RFC4D, but I can check later. At least with the version 3 in C4DR20+ you can adapt the falloff of most daemons with the "Fields" option.

Thank you for reply! I know about fields but it always crashes c4d when i try to use it in the filter deamon... So maybe is there some other way?

The answer I got back from Nextlimit:
Unfortunately it is a bug when using filters with fields. We're going to fix it. If you remove the spherical field for the filter daemon it will work. Sorry for incoveniences.

But maybe is there some other way how to change two group emmiters with filters? For example gravity daemon with fallof like a triger doesnt work well because gravity has inpact on the first group.

Or using a kAge or kVolume daemons in order to remove unwanted particles after short time or in some places.

There are also scripts that do the same as the filter (however without the falloff option).

It's strange why developers didn't create native fallof for filter daemon. Thank you!
