Question regarding a watermill simulation

Postby cookedmouse » Tue Jan 04, 2011 6:56 am

I have modeled a watermill in Maya, it's in multiple pieces but I exported as one obj and managed to import it into realflow 4. Then I was stuck. I want to make a animation where the waterfall moves and rotates the watermill. Is there anyway I could do that, without having to animate the watermill myself? I was hoping that there is a feature where the water simulation would move the mill automatically.

There is the feature for having a pushing force of the liquid. You can find it in the particle fluid interaction tab of the object to be pushed, the "Impulse" setting.

It can be difficult to get a smooth motion of the wheel, it needs to rotate freely in the axis (this was done with constraints in RF4).
