The question is: is there an utility or tool outside of the one in standalone RF for merging alembic abc-files?
Also, stitching abc files with RF sometimes crashes when the merged file gets larger, but I have to test it again with the latest version.

Question: tool for merging abc-files?

Re: Question: tool for merging abc-files?
Unfortunately none I'm aware of. The only thing I know is some plain C++ source code on https://github.com/alembic/alembic/tree ... bcStitcher
Source code means that you have to compile it yourself and this requires the entire Alembic package + dependencies. I have browsed the internet several times for something ready-to-use, but didn't succeed.
A faster and more economic way could be a (Python) script that loads the Alembic files frame by frame.
