Breakthrough! Perfect Scatter Plugin for RF5 in process

Postby D&Esign » Mon Sep 13, 2010 4:54 pm

After weeks of work on this feature we managed to achieve a nice coding result upon the particle scatter system.
We are now comfortably able to use RF for spreading particles evenly at equal distance from eachothers on every face, verts and edges of any
geometry regardless of complexity and according to desired Res.

following: RF built meshes upon Scatter particles Plugin (Left) Vs poly surface of origin (Right).

the alghorithm works on simulation too thus enabling to write bin files end exporting them accordingly.
Thanks to it the use of our morphing plugin will come easier selecting the new scattered particles as perfect targets instead of the geometry
vertices, easying out the parametrization process.
We know how sometimes tedious but necessary this process maight be and believe its versatility will come handy since the new C++ plugin is very fast computing even with hundrs of thous of particles per frame.
The plug in will be available soon, we Hope You'll like it and have one more reason to choose RF5 ;)

Thank You All, we appreciate Your support and always get inspired from it.
An on simulation sample of the process will follow shortly. :ninja:

Damn!! That's beautiful.... i started once to write a similar python script, but i got into trouble with placing particles uniformly on face's surface :(. But YOU DID IT!!))))))))) Keep IT UP!

FANTASTIC.
Can't wait for that simulation sample.
Keep up the good work.

Huge thanks for the positive Feedback.
We just accomplished one more step forward towards completion of the sript enabling to function upon simulation thus allowing a sequence of Bin files to be generated. This C++ test was run at "Substeps Fixed 1" using Dumb Particles on a dual core to find out the real speed of compuation ratio for number of particles. The result speaks for its own. Just for the chronicles the same Python version script was about 10 times slower!

Click me Scattered Sample

Click me Original SD

Notice how the particles count varies on each change to frame due to the constantly altering volume of the object's surface. Proving the effectiveness of the algorithm ;)
More explicit samples showing different resolutions and various fields of implementation will follow soon.

RF Rules!
