it was pretty easy I set up some sd objects in max:
started with two geospheres offset an equal amount and extruded all the faces, then collapsed the new faces so i had spikey balls like a maces, with just a little bit of space between them.
next step was to animate them so they were moving together like gears, and then attached to a null to add a spin in two axis
the finished animation rotated around the world center where I added an attractor in realflow and surrounded this with sphere emitters that i enabled the fill object option and let it play. (lots of sticky on the .sd and a high viscosity and surface tension on the fluid)
animation on the attractor magnitude matched to the rotations of the .sd gave it the time warp feeling.
