Hey all I am in a bind here so I have my entire animation build with a core fluid pass and splash and foam but when I import them into maya 2014 using the hybrido mesher or the rfrk cloud the particles show up and move around just fine but if I try to turn on show mesh or render it just crashes/locks up or says it cannot create preview mesh. Even for the shots with only a couple thousand particles in them. Anyone got any ideas or are there any test scenes anywhere that are known to work that I could use as a diagnostic tool to figure out the problem. In the past I havent used foam for my animations so I just imported a bin mesh from realflow and shaded it by hand. I see the LM running in processes in the background as well so its on.
