Accessing velocity/vorticity on RF meshes in MR for Maya

Hi,
I'm doing some R and D for an upcoming project and I've already wanted to shoot myself after using bifrost for an hour, so I'm giving RF a shot.

I'm trying to access ( ideally through the color per vertex ) the velocity/vorticity channels on my alembic mesh that I've output from export central. I can see some extra attributes in the bottom of my mesh node in maya, but unlike the velocity and vorticity channels in a bifrost mesh, I can't seem to figure out how to access them. Same goes for a .bin mesh. I can check on "Export Velocity for Mental Ray" in a .bin mesh and that works with motion blur, but I'm trying to shade my water shader based on velocity and vorticity.

Sooo.. what's the workflow for using those channels either on a .bin or a .abc mesh in maya?
