Re: Realflow crash when trying to load scene

Ho motoyuki,

Thanks for pointing me to this issue. I'll give it a try today to see if the script can be fixed or if it's a RF thing.

Cheers,
Thomas

Re: A Sticky Tip!

I totally understand your confusion, but no worries: the sticky function has been improved over the years, but the initial idea was really to create this adhesive effect shown in my previous post's image.

Your results in the video are really impressive. Great work and +1 for sharing your tip! Thanks!

Re: A Sticky Tip!

Thanks for that tip Oldcode! Always nice to see when artists push the boundaries and explore new things. Just FYI: The sticky parameter was actually never meant to make particles really stick on an object's surface. The main intention was to make particles flow around an object in a more natural, ad...

Re: How can I make this fluid?

Hi Forester, Thank you so much for your kind words and the additional information on the various subjects. Great to see that you really dig into RF's features and make up your mind about the concepts behind the software. With regards density I'll definitely take a look at your file, but from your de...

Re: How can I make this fluid?

Seems I have to give my 2 Ct. to this conversation as there are some misunderstandings: Changing density shouldn't have any effect on the fluid simulation - it doesn't make it thicker or "heavier", or anything else. Density is only taken into account if you simulate multiple fluids and wan...

Re: Dynamics collision

When objects are faster you need higher precision and precision is controlled through time steps (in RF they're called substeps). The rigid and soft body solver has its own substeps settings: Click on the small triangle next to the "Simulate" button and choose "Options" from the ...

Re: Can't set the dynamics for object "Plane" to rigid body.

This message simply means that 2D objects can't be turned into rigid or soft bodies, and the only solution is to use something 3D, e.g. a cube.

Re: Excessive amounts of foam particles?

So you have splashes and bubbles in your scene as well? Bubbles can create foam when they enter the surface, but maybe you've disabled this option already? Then it's also possible to create foam from splashes, bubbles and the domain. When all three options are active the amount of foam can grow quic...

Re: Real Wave Viscosity?

Did you check out the "Rw Track Marks" project from RF's demo scenes? Not sure if it's what you're looking for though, but maybe it's a starting point...
