Here is another quick render test. The shader needs work, but I am happy I got the nice foam edge, I still need to add to it, so more to come.
Took some time to get a mesh that I feel is appropriate wrt the size of the set.

Here is a new sim, playing with some values and it has a truck simmed in...

I want the truck to flop on its side, so I will need to re time that last emitter to fire off early.

Here is a new version.

The truck will be in the final shot, since there are quite a lot of particles; getting the motion and managing the timing just takes a while. I feel now I am at a good point to introduce the truck... so stay tuned.

I like it, very calm and mellow feel. A few suggestions I can say: 1) how about rotating the cube so the wave breaks in a non uniform way? 2) adding a field or two to give some interesting motion 3) there seems to be an accumulation of the particles on top... maybe using the surface tension might he...

I will be using maya 7.0 and realflow 4.0, rendering will be done in renderman.
My goal would be to make a crowded street flood.
I spent my weekend scrounging models off turbosquid and max-realms for models and did a little myself and came up with this set.
