script problem need help!

Try something like this. def onSimulationStep(): em = scene.getEmitter(“myemitter”) obj = scene.getObject(“object”) vertlist = obj.getVertices() particle = em.getFirstParticle() while particle: nextparticle = particle.getNextParticle() # for each particle, loop through the object’s vertice...

Do you still have a copy of Mark Stasiuk's scripting guide for RF4? In there is exactly the script you need using the objects normals to determine whether a particle is inside or outside the geometry.

If you don't have it, I'll see if I can dig it up.

Not sure how to upload a scene?
Oh, and you wont be able to upload a scene here, just upload it to a file sharing site and post a link here.

Which frame do the particles start veering from the path of Null02? Is the path from object frame range high enough, and I assume you've checked that the path follower strength and path connect radius still cover the particles by the time they reach that part of the path? I'm kinda shooting in the d...

If you do follow the RF route, the scene file would be very useful indeed.

retiming a binary loader: The particles disappear!

Well, strictly speaking as long as you set a release frame, the scene set-up will affect the binary loader particles and cache them as BinaryLoader01.xxxxx so in theory, the set-up should work.

Can you post the scene please, complete with any sd file you're using.
