Make sure your Splash Box is large enough, as there will only be particles simulated inside this box.

- Make sure to use the latest Realflow Plugins for 3ds Max.
- Check if your 3dsa Max Axis setup and/ or Units setup is set to default 3ds Max values.
- Are you using the exact same version of 3ds Max as the render service? Same patchlevel etc?

Try doing the main part of the effect via shading, create a second skin around your character (thicker than the original) that will let e.g. 20% of the particles pass through (->Collision Tolerance) for dripping effects and emit from vertices/ faces of the inner shell. That could be a start.

What you say is too general. I need some screenshots to further tell what is going on.

Some general hints:

- leave int/ext pressure at their default 1/1 for this kind of simulation.
- dot try applying too strong body forces (gravity, drag etc)
- use a higher FPS setting inside Realflow if possible

difficult without seeing the original mesh. Check your max refraction rays and increase them to see if that helps any.

It was helpful if you could tell us what you are about to in more detail. In general, the Cell Size of an object shouldn#t be lower than the Grid Cell Size as this will have an impact on calculation time and cause issues. But from what I read it feels like you should probably read the manual on Hybr...

IMHO Crest Splashes in Realwave are not implemented in a manner one can work or with or control it. If you are om RF 2013, creating your own Crest Splashes system would be more rewarding.
