Re: how to change amount of particles in rfc4d

Hi the classic way to get more particles is to increase "resolution" in the "Fluid" object. Of course you can also increase speed of the emitter and size of the emitter, but that changes the entire setup. What is also useful sometimes is to increase the "frames per second&qu...

Re: Create splashes & foam from existing meshes

Hi it is ok to import the objects into RF, that would be necessary anyway. But the water surface needs to be active inside RF and if it exists as a fixed/backed mesh than it is not recognized as water surface. You could add a realwave and try the "custom object" mode but that does not alwa...

Re: my realflow simulatoins in c4d offset

Hi

I think that could be fixed. What have you tried to make the offset smaller so far? Did the "collision distance" not work for you?

RealFlow crash course by Davesplaining

There are not that many new tutorials on RF appearing recently on YouTube that deal with RF10 standalone, so it is very welcome to see this tutorials (actually an entire series) by Swedish VFX artist David Enbom

This is the crash course of 2 hours

Re: Importing realflow mesh into C4D

Hi that is interesting that Turbosquid allowed somebody to post .bin files, because they are not really a standard for particle or mesh files. Now it is alembic that is much more an industry standard. And so the RealFlow-plugin version supports alembic, but not bin files for exchange of data. You ca...

Re: realflow prt loader issue

Hi
sorry I am not a 3Dsmax user, but in general loading of RF particles in prt or bin format worked well when I used it with Cinema4D.
Unfortunately, Krakatoa does not seem to be developed anymore(?). Otherwise I would recommend to ask this at thinkbox/Amazon.

Re: Mesh troubles rendering...

Hi well, that is a rather dramatic effect  Unfortunately, I don't use Octane with RFC4D (but redshift and a couple of other render engines). Does it only happen with Octane or also with the built-in physical render engine? Is it happening only when you change the scale? So, it may be a bug in...

Re: How to make Ground Dirt soil simulation

Hi have a look at this scene https://www.dropbox.com/s/7isybijcy32yg64/snow_dirt_granular.zip?dl=0 for the settings. This should produce this type of simulation: https://youtu.be/qgYehJtfndU An important factor is not only the granular settings, but also the number of iterations in the simulation se...

Re: How to make Ground Dirt soil simulation

Hi I think heavy snow and mud/dirt are very similar in their physics. You anyway get only particles and a mesh around it from RealFlow.. how you render it with displacement depends then on your 3D software for animation and rendering. You could think about additional gravel and stuff, but then it ma...
