Re: Flying particles

Well, you would simply add an animation curve to the emitter's "Speed" setting to change the Speed Value from some value that you are using to "Zero" (0.00) at the frame/step number where you wish it to stop emitting particles. If the Emitter has a "Speed" setting of 0....

Re: Gravity deamon with dyverso

Easy to do - just create two DY domains, with one emitter each. Then apply the Gravity Daemon to just one of the domains. Particles from the two different domains will continue to interact. Make sure that you have the latest version of Realflow!!!!! It is only in the last two versions of RF2015 that...

Get Position for an Object?

I'm having a little syntax problem - I hope it is "little." Like many situations, I need to convert water to foam, and I have more than one object in a scene, so I can't use the simple "onCollision" function. Since my problem is a waterfall that is emitting from within a s...

Re: Filter Daemon Expressions - Dyverso

After a few hours of comparison testing of how the Filter Daemon expressions work in the standard SPH Solver versus the Dyverso Solver, I've concluded there must be some bugs, or incomplete code in the Expression evaluation portion of RF2015. Expressions that work fine in the SPH Solver, don't work ...

Re: Textured OBJ import into Realflow

Yes. This is a common problem. You need to break down your *.obj object(s) into individual pieces according to the distinct material each takes. In your native 3D application, make sure that the pivot point is centered for each of these individual pieces before exporting to your RF project. You will...

Re: Object emitter - Particle 'explode' and 'pump'

Ah, a Maya user..... OK, first of all, the Dyverso Solver is incredibly energetic. It is most suitable for things like ponds and medium-scale waterfalls and such. It is not terribly useful for small objects, objects with a lot of faces, and so forth. Having said that, however, you should know that w...

Re: Problem with Particle Mesh

Which "Mesh Filter" settings in the Particle Mesher are you using? If you are not using any, try clicking on the Mesh Filter setting, and at the "@Thinning" setting, experiment with some different values that are less than 1.00. For example, try an "@Thinning" setting o...
