Re: Scale

Hi, a Maya-Realflower here.... Yes, the scales for Maya and in Realflow are NOT directly equivalent. In general, the Autodesk advice is to use the default cm for Maya. But if you are also using MAX, you may have good reasons to set both Maya and MAX to meters, as you point out. Particularly if you a...

Re: Any Dyverso Particle Phython Scripts?

Ditto for "Expressions" for the Dyverso solver. It seems that I cannot write any expressions into something like the Filter Daemon if using the Dyverso solver. In fact, the Dyverso solver seems to lack most of the support tools and mechanisms used for the other solvers in Realflow. Kind of...

Any Dyverso Particle Phython Scripts?

Has anyone had any experience writing python scripts for use with the Dyverso solver? That is code that handles particles - such as maybe a water-to-foam script or something like it. I am going quietly bonkers trying to figure out how to do this. (Well, OK, ... my husband would not say "quietly...

Re: Force Realflow to calculate sheeter generated particles multiple times in a frame

Yes, but you would have to do this re-timing in another application, as you are suggesting. The RF2015 documentation states that scenes using Sheeter cannot be re-timed within Realflow. Sometimes, the documentation is out of date, so I haven't actually tested this myself, but I believe that it is co...

Re: Flying particles

Well, you would simply add an animation curve to the emitter's "Speed" setting to change the Speed Value from some value that you are using to "Zero" (0.00) at the frame/step number where you wish it to stop emitting particles. If the Emitter has a "Speed" setting of 0....

Re: Gravity deamon with dyverso

Easy to do - just create two DY domains, with one emitter each. Then apply the Gravity Daemon to just one of the domains. Particles from the two different domains will continue to interact. Make sure that you have the latest version of Realflow!!!!! It is only in the last two versions of RF2015 that...
