Foam tutorial... step by step for someone new to RF4

Ahh, so there are three. What threw me off was in the header of the script # VARIABLES liquid = scene.getEmitter("Circle01") #set the name of your chosen liquid emitter (liquid type) foam = scene.getEmitter("Circle01") #set the name of your chosen foam emitter (liquid type) liquid2 = scene.getEmitte...

Foam tutorial... step by step for someone new to RF4

Ahh, I didn't know how to run a script the correct way! OK, I've got some foaming going on. My main emitter stops working for some reason, only spitting out a small amount of fluid before stopping. Any ideas as to why that would be? Something in the script? Also, there are only two emitters used in ...

Foam tutorial... step by step for someone new to RF4

Well, I think the script is running, but I don't see any difference at all in the pre or post simulations. I don't get any results that are different from before I ran the script. I've found the place to load and use the script, but maybe the problem is in my set-up prior to running the script? I'm ...

Foam tutorial... step by step for someone new to RF4

Hello, I'm wondering if someone could go through step by step as to how to successfully use a script such as this one: http://www.nextlimit.com/nlscript/scripts/mediumbeerfoam_1939.rfs I'm new to RF4 (I've been a RF user for quite some time though) and I'm not getting any results even close to what ...

Soda in an animated bottle - please help!

The mesh had a cap built into it (it was a cylinder deformed to make the shape of the bottle's innards). The killer for me was that I was trying to use a reference. I have been beating myself up over this for the last three or four days. The problem was the references, not anything in RealFlow. My n...

Soda in an animated bottle - please help!

OK, I think I've figured it out. I've been using a referenced character to create the .sd file. It can't bake out all of the info to the verts because it's a reference. I just ran a quick test, and it looks like my theory is sound.

I'll let you know how I make out.

Soda in an animated bottle - please help!

That's the amount of movement I've got.

That's the character. Maybe someone can do a quick motion test and see where I'm going wrong? I'm nearly at the end of my rope (and my deadline).

Soda in an animated bottle - please help!

The bottles are NURBS surfaces. I have a poly proxy inside, which has been triangulated. I have tried baking the animation on the vertecies, but this doesn't seem to help.

The NURBS surface is acting as a wrap deformer (I'm using Maya) to deform the poly mesh. Should this not be the workflow?
