beerFoam and multiThreads mesh rendering scripts

This reply probably comes a little late, but... The realflownode requires the command line licenses of RealFlow which don't come with the regular license purchase, and the regular licenses are not compatible with the node. However you can run realflow -nogui which will do the same thing as the node,...

Echo while working? Echo all commands?

So far the script is off to a good start! I want to make a script that takes the selected emitter and then changes a parameter selected by the user. The user would input a parameter to change, starting value, number of iterations, and the increment value. Each version of the scene would be saved as ...

Echo while working? Echo all commands?

That's what I was afraid of. Though it's not a macro, I can record those with keyboard software just fine. I just want to see what RealFlow is actually doing, more detailed messages than just what shows up in the message window. An echo of all commands in Python. Very unfortunate that RF doesn't hav...

exploding balloon !

It's real, that's not made with any CG. I used to think it would be impossible to catch bugs like that. Though this video illustrates it very well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqRRQioUeiI The water, balloon, bug, everything was probably filmed without any CG. Though multiple shots to get all of t...

Execute a Dos command.

If you are working with the command line engine, or the -nogui switch for RF, then it will automatically exit when the simulation is finished, or script, or mesh, whatever happens to be the task. Not exactly what you are looking for, but might be of some use. Good luck!

Echo while working? Echo all commands?

Hello, I'm new to working with scripting in RealFlow and was wondering if anyone knows of a way to have RF echo all commands? For the Maya users out there, the console will echo all commands, like selections, creating new objects, etc. Then you can copy the echo and use it as a base for a script. So...

How can i create this?

There's a case study on the RealFlow website for a BMW commercial that has a similar effect. They used a Realwave surface and an RW_Splash emitter to spray particles when the tires of the car collided with the surface. It's not a full tutorial but will probably give you some ideas. Check it out here...

Damaged or deformed objects after collision

Orr, that's an impressive script. I'm working on testing it right now, I'll keep you posted with the progress. Thanks for the very helpful input!

Damaged or deformed objects after collision

Hmmm, that's not a bad idea. It will require a lot of keys to get everything done, but it would in theory work. I'll give that a try and see what happens. Thanks for the input!

Damaged or deformed objects after collision

Long time reader, first time poster. I'm working on some soft body simulations that involve a group of soft body objects falling to the ground. When the objects hit the ground, some of them become deformed and don't return to their original shape. As if it hit the ground so hard it "broke" the sprin...
