Day Rates

What otuama said. Also be wary of gigs that go by day rates. Plumbers and lawyers don't work on day rates (or if you find one that does let me know!). The time of a creative professional is no less valuable and no less measurable. If there's no alternative then be sure your day rate would cover equi...

Is this even possible?

Is it possible with RealFlow? Yes. Would I recommend RealFlow in this case? No. My guess is you'll spend far more time and get an inferior result compared to shooting it. Those crown splashes can be tricky to say the least. Here are some high speed camera rental places to answer your other question....

particles throug small holes

Welcome to the world of fluid simulations. They do exactly what they should - which is whatever the hell they want. I suggest using a smaller area to determine the appropriate settings. For example take that same pool model and same deck but use only one square meter of each and block it in, instead...

Lava flow UV texturing

Dan, in my experience a procedural material is a better way to go for this type of effect than dealing with UV maps and textures. One way would be to use the original particle simulation to transfer an attribute back to the mesh and base the shader on that. For example 9,000 out of 10,000 particles ...

To run it from the command line open a terminal or command prompt and enter the path for RealFlow. For example on Windows it would look something like this. I don't have it in front of me so not sure if the paths are exact but you get the idea. "C:Program FilesNext LimitRealFlow 5realflow.exe" It sh...

Try opening it from the command line to see if there are other errors with more detail. If you haven't already get in touch with Next Limit support.

It would be easier to just use exclusive links. By default nodes are in the global links which means everything affects everything.
