Re: Resolution dramatically changing shape of things...

adding to the post... I'm also very distraught how the strange ripples and deformations are occurring in the main body of the liquid. This is a resolution of 100, same poly size and radius as the above settings...and I've locked the timeline and pre-rolled the simulation for a long time before locki...

Re: Resolution dramatically changing shape of things...

Here is an example of the resolution changes... The image on the left: resolution: 50 mesh poly size .005 radius: .04 surf tension: 10 viscosity: 3.3 The image on the right: resolution: 15 mesh poly size: .01 radius: .08 surf tension: 10 viscosity: 3.3 In order to maintain detail in the higher resol...

Re: Resolution dramatically changing shape of things...

Thank you. I'll mess around with the radius of the meshed particles. I don't want to bombard this forum with my questions, so I'll keep all additional questions about this project HERE in this thread. And as it were, I do have an additional question at the moment: I have set up an initial settled st...

Resolution dramatically changing shape of things...

Hello again all. Client revisions are in... I'm basically starting a lot from scratch, but I've learned a lot. So...I've re-simulated everything. The meshed particles look the way I want at resolution 10...but when I crank up the resolution to 100, there are irregular splashes, the shape of the spla...

Making Crown Skinnier at Midsection

Hey again all. I'm posting so much!!! I apologize. Trust me, I do so much research, but can't find these answers... I'm looking to match the liquid drop on the right. I'm pretty close, however, the yellow crown on the right has a skinnier mid-crown section. It tapers in a much more pleasing way. Bot...

Re: Liquid Water Drop - Tongue Too Early

First requirement is to make the pool of water deeper so that it can re-bounce: https://youtu.be/5Ay2p7c8qkE I have already mentioned in the other topic, that you may lose the crown in this case, where the crown daemon may become useful. I appreciate the input. I've tried adding deeper water, and t...

Re: Liquid Water Drop - Tongue Too Early

Not sure how to edit my post and add a second image...so here is a reply...

Just a better image. The center tendril goes up well before the crown reaches its peak...in nature (and other simulations) this happens after the crown almost touches down...

Liquid Water Drop - Tongue Too Early

Hello all. I'm killing myself over here. I've gone over so many tutorials and documents, and I can't get the secondary water drop 'tongue' (as I'm calling it) to appear later in the animation *after* the crown drops. Does anyone know the main setting or animation setup for this to conform properly? ...

Re: Mesh influencing other mesh too early

It's already got a smooth of 2 on the mesh. How high does a standard case use?

Re: Mesh influencing other mesh too early

Still not 100% sure, but I think messing with steps, accuracy, poly size and ratio fix this...
