River foam question.

Hi all,

Does river foam need splashes? Or will a fairly fast/large river generate foam from the domain. Without the need for bubbles, splash, or waterline?
Is this the best practice. Should emission be turned way up to 400,000 or such with a large sim?

I have tried a bunch of options want to do without additional 3rd party plugins... Like Krakatoa - out as abc file turns out be too large and also does not display as particles. - in realflow birth as pflow, the 5 million foam particle is too slow to load Best would be to render as VDB as a vray vox...

wow that is nice! can you do a test for me? Try dropping some cubes into the sand and see it if explodes or works. Maybe throw me some settings if you get it to work. when i try it the cubes fly off or drop to the bottom. you know I am thinking the new liquid solvers in 3dsmax might import the realf...

Help with Foam without Krakatoa?.. no idea what to do

I tried Pflowrealflow birth but the files are too large the load times are horrible. How can i integrate foam in to the render. I was hoping could use Vray VDB loader but there is not a compatible loader file. What do do.

simple enough a pile of sand and then an dynamic rigid body dropping into it. so the interaction is not right, too heavy mass it sinks to bottom, to light it flies off. It feels more like liquid not splashing sand. density of the DY domain 1000, resolution 50. mass of rock 10-100 the biggest problem...

just wondering what kind of results people are getting with GPU on. Diverso so forth. Also are there special drivers from Nvidia that would help like the CUDA dev kit?

sorry forgot how to do this.

i want to export about 60 boxes, but they need to be all separate bodies in RF. Do i have to to export each one at a time. multi body import just brought it all in as one node/body in RF

this would skip the whole Krakatoa routine is so. would like to get foam to Fd3 or OpenVDB how to do that?

Foam texture cache? and maps? how to use?

I have FTC files but not maps saved, do i have to re-sim to make the Tif files?

are these maps then applied to the core VDB hybrido mesh? are they camera dependent?

what is best workflow for these files going to 3dsmax?
