Re: Sea Foam

Thanks. The scene I'm working on is a kind of cartoon city on a sphere. At the moment I've been using a simple material for the sea that I'll animate but I just tried a custom realwave in the shape of the sea area. It works fine, well, it has fractal movement. However, there's no interaction between...

Sea Foam

Hello everyone. I'm working on a project that has a sea next to land. http://grab.by/tN4K http://grab.by/tN4Q This area hasn't been worked on much yet.. What I want to have is, ummm, foam, wash, whatever, appearing at the edge of the water (where it connects with land). Can anyone think of a way to ...

Re: Resolution and Viscosity

I wonder what values this person had. Looks good.

I wonder if he used surface tension too. Hmmmmm.

Resolution and Viscosity

Hello all.

Does the resolution of an emitter affect the viscosity? If I increase resolution do I have to increase viscosity too? If so, in what proportion?

Also, is it recommended NOT to have a surface tension value when working with viscosity? For example, 300 viscosity, 100 surface tension.

Re: Maya/Realflow scale

Is it just me who finds this strange because in the help it says Maya and Realflow have a 1:1 scale. I would have taken that to mean that if you model something in Maya, and import into Realflow, whatever is imported is the same world scale (1:1) so there is no need to change the global scale. Plus,...

Re: Maya/Realflow scale

Hello fkfx. Thank you. In the documentation it says the solver works best at a scale of 1.0. Plus, as Realflow and Maya apparently have a 1:1 ratio I thought I'd give the correct scale in Maya so was surprised to see it import at that scale. It kind of messes up my brain that it is suggested to scal...

Maya/Realflow scale

In the documentation, it says that the scene scale between Maya and Realflow is 1:1. Maya's scale is in cm, Realflow is in m. Here I have a tennis ball in Maya. It is 6.7cm http://grab.by/nXTo When brought into Real Flow it is 6.7m http://grab.by/nXVm So how can the scale be 1:1 ? To be a true to wo...

Using proxy geo

I havve some falling geo that I may (in the end) want to render with Real Flow's renderer. They are quite high resolution. I have been using multy bodies but just had the idea to use low res geo in place of the high res. However, as I said, I'll want to render in Real Flow at the end so want to rend...
