Re: Advanced Multithreded Mesh Build

Have you ssen the thread's date? The later meshers in Realflow are multithreaded, apart from the legacy one.

Re: un-smoothed realflow mesh loader ..

Never had that problem using a turbosmooth modifier on my meshes, probably you should try smoothing less aggressive.

Re: Retiming Problem

Are you using Sheeter in your scene? I remember having the same issue in RF2012 a while ago. It seems like a bug and there isn't much you can do about it.

Re: pocket in shallow river

Your Grid Resolution is to coarse and that's causing the troubles.

Re: Underwater splash / /mesh/ particles

I'd go for a standard particles system for the bobbles effect. Thinking about the number of bubbles you need for the diver, it is the faster way to go. Fake the underwater look using good lighting, compositing and a fog volume. If you want to use Realflow, you could create bubbles rising from the di...

Re: Exporting mesh using RF plugin missing velocity channel

The target 3d package might not understand your velocity channel. That's the problem. If it is Maya, you might use a SouP Color Map. Map Velocity to any (vector) channel you desire and then read it in as Color Map using SouP.

Re: Particles won't stay still, any advice?

You might achieve the desired result by scripting a Deamon. Use the good old age divided by lifespan method and diminish velocity as soon as the particles are above a certain threshold. You could also experiment with animating Drag to a very high value over time, as this will also suck momentum out ...

Re: Problems rendering splashes and mist

AFAIK, Maxwell cannot render volumetric data, so it won't be possible to render RFRK clouds using Maxwell. However, it is possible that in the meantime there has been a Maxwell update enabling Maxwell to render volumes, but Maxwell 2.X couldn't.

Re: Visocsity and dynamics issue

I remember there were a lot of issues with Softbodies and joints. It is possible that is still the case.
