Re: Modeling earthquake within solid strata in realflow

The fracturing functions in RealFlow is a feature that I have almost never used so far... not because it would not work, but simply because I have already similar functionality in my larger 3D software packages (Cinema4D and Maya). So, the advantage of realflow in this case is the integration with f...

Re: How to make realistic scene with object drop down into the water with the Hybrido?

Hi RF10 comes with a number of ready-made projects that can be found in the "learn" section of the open projects window. The scene "Hybrido_Bubbles" is the one for you. It shows a rocket falling into a closed hybrido tank. You just have to add a mesh for the hybrido domain and a ...

Re: Next Limit email

Yeah, I think the prices have to move in future. The RFforC4D-plugin may take away some revenue from the standalone version for motion graphers and advertisement. So, is it logical to increase the price of the plugin almost to the same level as for the standalone? I don't think so. It also depends o...

Re: How do you render splash, foam and bubbles?

There is no useful way to develop a material with bubbles for particles, since the particles are of uniform size. Not to mention that any multi-layered material would be prohibitive in render times were it to be applied to individual particles. Regarding particle rendering, this is possible to do i...

Re: How can I make this fluid?

Hi that won't be easy... I think you are on the right track with an imported object or more generally, by using a shape that emits liquid. I am thinking about another tutorial that creates more like a cloth-like object, but emission of fluid at the edges in addition. Cloth like simulations like this...

Re: Do you know Realflow plugin ?

Hi yes, I know this plugin. But it is not updated anymore (at least not as far as I know). For this type of function we now have the "Sheeter" daemon in RealFlow. The sheeter looks a little limited compared to repletum (or other plugins which are also no longer updated), but it can be very...

Re: Is it possible to make a translucent mesh?

One option could be to add in the Luminance channel of the orange juice material some SSC influence (less than 100%). But especially for SSC the intensity and position of light sources also play a role. Your original reference image was taken with a black background which is rather unusual of juice ...

Re: How do you use wetdry maps in Maya / Maxwell?

Good to know, thanks!

Maybe the folks at the official Maxwellrender forum know more? Maxwell still is rarely used for animations because of comparably slow render time.

Re: How do you use wetdry maps in Maya / Maxwell?

Hi
I have not tried this recently myself but thanks for reporting. Does it happen with the latest plugin version? There was a new version last week.
