Re: SD file export from 3dsmax question - multiple objects?

Hi

If you export in SD-format then you have to do it in one go. So adding all the 60 objects, then export. Inside RF use the "File <-> curve" button to unlink them from the 3D program and that should make the single objects independent.

Re: Vray VDB render very nice can foam be open VDB?

As a suggestion for future software versions? Currently, foam is always simulated in form of particles.

Re: Carry Particles With Object Without Simulation

Hi indeed, that may be a task that is better done at the level of the rendering software instead of RF. You can specify the starting position of particle import in Maya, for example, and import multiple sequences coming from different simulation runs. Otherwise maybe have a look at the binary loader...

IBC2018 X-Particles overview

This was posted to youtube yesterday, an interesting and well-presented introduction to the particle plugin "X-Particles" for Cinema4D https://youtu.be/SaJuO3Z9_lg I have X-Particles and RF-for-C4D installed here...I think they complement each other. RF still has the better liquid simulati...

Re: flow is getting longer in the end..

Ok, I see. You can make the keyframe more sharp. For that make a right click on the circle next to "speed" and select "edit curve". In edit curve you can influence the timing better. Also, if you have a drag daemon in the scene, the liquid experiences some resistance and gets str...

Re: flow is getting longer in the end..

The "speed" parameter of the emitter is animated with keyframes. It is not visible on your screenshots, but I assume the value is animated to go to zero after some time. You can change that by scrolling the timeline without simulating and entering different values in the field and clicking...

Re: Advice for a new PC

Yes, Quadros are known for good performance in CAD. However, for simulation and 3D rendering (like with Octane or Redshift), we are using only the raw processing power of the GPU. Personally, I am using this Geforce since one month and like it a lot for the GPU-mode of the Dyverso solver in RealFlow...

Re: Advice for a new PC

When comparing GPU's the number of CUDA processing cores is important for calculation speed of such simulation software like RF. I don't know the exact numbers in this comparison, but the more CUDA cores the better.

Re: How was this "fluid becomes image" effect created? Any ideas?

I don't know... if you simply add a texture to the mesh that is flowing onto the ground, then the image will stay distorted as the fluid is mixed and distorted on the floor. If you use a projection like front projection, the image will always stay perfectly visible but not flowing....You could make ...

Re: Object Emitter won't work using an imported mesh

Also, play around with the resolution settings of the fluid. Maybe try to inverse the normals of the object.
