Re: Water drop

I have looked a little at this question of droplet shaping. https://photos.app.goo.gl/CPhmE41KRFoTu4GcA https://photos.app.goo.gl/CPhmE41KRFoTu4GcA I hope you can access this screenshot. Basically, the pointed end is removed by the mesher that needs some smoothing for a good droplet surface. However...

Re: Water drop

Hi OD first I would like to say that the project is already well underway and the rendering looks nice! Now, regarding the acting of the water at impact and flow, I think the fact that you had to set the resolution to a huge number like 8 Mio indicates to me that the scale (at least for RealFlow phy...

Re: Start/end simulation set key frames

Hi T. I see, but that is totally a job for keyframing the speed of the emitter. If the particle count is equal to zero, then there should be almost no noticeable delay in the scene. There may be processing speed used for the calculation of solid volumes or collider volumes. If this causes delays, yo...

Re: Start/end simulation set key frames

Hi in order to start in the middle you need to cache the simulation first. Only then the program has a starting condition of the fluid to continue. But what is it that you want to achieve with starting in the middle? Usually you can have a sitting amount of particles already in the scene using the i...

Re: Need help filling a pipe with water

Hi I think these settings are good as such, but the challenge is more how the settings play together (especially foam and water take care that they are set to the same resolution). Since there are so many parameters, maybe upload the entire scene, or a similar one, for us having a look at optimizati...

Re: Subdivided Object as Emitter

It should work if the collider tag is applied to the "subdivision surface" (not the child object).

Re: Subdivided Object as Emitter

Hi T

maybe it could be possible to not use the mesh of the rigged character directly as emitter but to introduce a child of that part of the mesh, which is not rendered, and use that as emitter-object?

Re: Q-solver plugin new version

Hi Oldcode,

in principle it takes care of the edges of the fluid making them more realistic regarding that "lip" at the border. The macro daemon is doing something similar in the latest version of RF10. A tutorial using the q-solver plugin https://vimeo.com/364834003

Re: Dyverso SPH solver

Hi yes, there is a research paper about the "Dyverso"-System from 2016 although it is mainly about the pbf fluids. Maybe search for older publications from the same authors. Alduán, I., Tena, A. and Otaduy, M.A. (2017), DYVERSO: A Versatile Multi‐Phase Position‐Based Fluids Solution for VFX. Compute...
