Re: Waves & Boats

Hi ! I can easily be wrong about this, but I don't think you can get both, controlled forward motion and realistic wave interaction. What can be done is motion of free floating objects like a buoy, a floating box, mine, bottle etc without motor. Realwave is also very useful for such animations. With...

Re: How to approche lake with intactions?

Hi I would say, that depends on the desired look. If it is a calm pond, then you could use realwave and use triggered waves using control points that you can add with the mouse. like here https://vimeo.com/116467444 If there should be splash and more realistic motion, a shallow but big hybrido tank ...

Re: How to connect Hybrido simulation's end and begin waveform?

The difficulty with the hybrido system is, that is a physics simulation that reacts to forces and pressures, but you cannot control the shape precisely. This is only possible with the realwave system, but the realwave is only a polygonal surface without the realism that you need for the waves that c...

Re: mix fluids with rf10

You cannot change density of emitted particles. But there is another parameter: the internal and external pressure. If you reduce internal and external pressure both to something like 0.001, then the liquid becomes more closer to a gas and might mix better. The disadvantage is, that the already exis...

Re: mix fluids with rf10

Maybe the k-speed daemon was not such a good idea. I have made some more changes such as removing any friction from the box that holds the two liquids and adding surface tension. Seems to work better now:

Re: mix fluids with rf10

Yes, I see the problem. I have made myself such a setup with two emitter and domains (density 1000 and 2000). At first it seems that the fluids indeed become nicely separated. However, after some time, "chaotic vibrations" seem to take overhand and lead to overflow of the vessel.... strang...

Re: Decelerate Particle speed after out of water in Hybrido

Particle sampling and grid resolution play together (therefore it is called "Hybrido"). Both increase or decrease the final quality of the result. If you go too low with the objects and grid resolution, you will see leakage. Rather add a foam and splash node to increase detail at the edges...

Re: mix fluids with rf10

Hi Mesut are you using legacy or dyverso particles? There was a limitation at the beginning of the Dyverso system that inhibited the interaction of two different domains, but that is fixed in RF10. Therefore, you do it very similar to the legacy system, only with two different domains and emitters a...

Re: Rebel particles in magic daemon

Hi

it is hard to say without the scene file. You may try to limit the motion of particles with the k_speed daemon or to kill those "rebel particles" with k_isolated.

Re: Decelerate Particle speed after out of water in Hybrido

Regarding the mesh: yes, a smaller radius and polygon size allows to see more details of the splashes. However, it is impossible to make a mesh around each little droplet of water and does not make sense in such a scene. Instead, only the large mass of water should be covered by the mesh, and foam a...
