Re: C4D foam or bubbles

Hi
I think the expired file was from this tutorial or a similar one by Tsn (simulation in RF standalone, but not rendering). This is the method where you have water and foam with different densities so that the foam particles float up. https://vimeo.com/215176177

Re: Making foam in RFC4D using the filter daemon

Yeah, that is what the method "mix different densities" can do for foam creation. I am curious what Phoenix FD can do, please let us know when it is finished. Regarding bubbles, we may go a different route here by placing an emitter at the base of the glass and having another gravity daemo...

Re: grain rendering

Do not mesh granular particles. Just use them as they are and use a point rendering method. But which steps are necessary depends very much on your 3D software and render engine.
In Cinema4D, for example, we can add a "thinking particles geometry node" and add a texture to that.

Re: Making foam in RFC4D using the filter daemon

So, I am back with the foam project made in RF10 standalone version. The main benefit of having it in standalone is the choice of export formats other than alembic to have more options for foam rendering later. Additionally, standalone has the scripting option which may turn out as the better (but s...

Re: Dyverso skinning?

Seems to work here.

Did you use the icon in the Dyverso shelf? Select an object (that is free to be manipulated in RF), then use the icon for elastic skinner -> object gets filled an behaves like soft body

Re: Maya realflow Plugin meshing Problem

Hi maybe you have an older installation there with Maya2017 that still works, but the original render kit plugin was meant to be used with MentalRay and has been discontinued. But I am not fully aware about what is installed with the RF-Maya plugin as I am not using it myself (only the one in Cinema...

Re: Making foam in RFC4D using the filter daemon

Hi ghofer, your mushroom comparison is hilarious, yes that is not totally expected for foam or bubbles :D Plugin or standalone makes a difference in the handling of the simulation as in the plugin certain features like the substeps and similar settings are in automatic mode, which does not exist in ...

Re: Making foam in RFC4D using the filter daemon

Thanks ghofer! The separation of foam and water is done by the density difference of the Dyverso SPH-Mode. Two fluids are used in Cinema4D (corresponds to the domains in the standalone version of RF10). Here we have fluid1 density=3000, and for the foam fluid2=800 Then you can limit the filtering by...

Re: Will we get grid based fire and smoke?

Welcome back :P Sure, OpenVDB offers new possibilities. This is, for example, always used if you want to render smoke and fire coming from the popular X-particles plugin in Cinema4D with an external render engine such as Redshift or Octane. Similarly you can render with those render engines, if the ...
